Rainy Day Puddle Hop

Grab your boots, hop the puddles, and race to the cozy finish line. It's a quick screen-free game for little puddle jumpers who love rainy day play.

Suggested ages

Ages 3-8

Setup

  • Print the board and puddle tokens (2 pages total).
  • Cut out the tokens and choose one per player.
  • Grab a die or a number spinner.

How to play

  1. Everyone starts on the Start square.
  2. Roll the die and move forward that many spaces.
  3. Land on a weather icon? Follow the rainy day rule below.
  4. First player to reach Finish wins.

Rainy day rules

  • Umbrella: move ahead 1 extra space.
  • Boots: take another roll.
  • Cloud: slide back 1 space.
  • Puddle: skip your next turn.

Quick variations

  • Easy mode: use a 1-3 spinner instead of a die.
  • Story mode: name something you would pack for rainy play before you move.
